Soedaba Sina Ashraf is a Master of Science and certified trainer with a (bio)medical background, fluent in several languages, recognized by Stichting de Verre Bergen as one of the Rotterdam talents. Within the Foundation, Ms. Ashraf applies her knowledge through a culture and diversity sensitive approach.
Ashraf's expertise is a combination within the health care and social fields. Within the health care field, Mrs. Ashraf has a (bio) medical bachelor’s degree with additional subjects focused on lifestyle and prevention. In addition to the latter, she has completed a Masterclass of the Foundation Student and Nutrition at the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam. Following that, Ms. Ashraf conducted research at the Erasmus Medical Center on intake of red and processed meat with the incidence of coronary heart disease in participants of the Rotterdam Study.
Within the social welfare field, Ms. Ashraf has been an active volunteer with VOAW for many years, obtaining several certificates within culturally sensitive subjects and learning to work with women and girls from marginalized communities. She has also been involved in tutoring children from
disadvantaged backgrounds in Pendrecht through the Math Faculty. Finally, Ms. Ashraf obtained her master’s degree in Management and Entrepreneurship within Health and Life Sciences, after which she now functions as a trainer within the Foundation.
