Following that, Ms. Ashraf conducted research at the Erasmus Medical Center on intake of red and processed meat with the incidence of coronary heart disease in participants of the Rotterdam Study.
Within the social welfare field, Ms. Ashraf has been an active volunteer with VOAW for many years, obtaining several certificates within culturally sensitive subjects and learning to work with women and girls from marginalized communities. She has also been involved in tutoring children from
disadvantaged backgrounds in Pendrecht through the Math Faculty. Finally, Ms. Ashraf obtained her master’s degree in Management and Entrepreneurship within Health and Life Sciences, after which she now functions as a trainer within the Foundation.
